01Introduction

I&J Agency is a website design, search engine optimization, lead generation, and growth agency serving local service businesses throughout the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ij.agency, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and the choices available to you.

We have written this policy in plain language. If anything here is unclear, contact us and we will explain it directly.

02Company Information

This website is operated by IJ Agency, LLC, doing business as I&J Agency, a United States business currently based in Whiteland, Indiana. References to "we," "us," and "our" mean I&J Agency.

If our legal entity, registered state, or business address changes, we will update this section and the "Last updated" date above.

03Scope

This policy applies to information collected through ij.agency and to information you send us by email, phone, or web form in connection with a prospective or active engagement.

It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, to websites we build and hand off to clients (those sites are governed by the client's own policies), or to information you provide directly to a third-party platform under its own terms.

04Definitions

  • Personal information means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you or your household.
  • Usage data means technical information about how a device interacts with the website, such as pages viewed and referring source.
  • Service provider means a company that processes information on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes we specify.
  • Client means a business that has engaged us under a written agreement. Visitor means anyone who uses the website without an active engagement.

05Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information: information you voluntarily provide, and information collected automatically when you browse the website. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or precise geolocation.

06Information You Voluntarily Provide

You choose what to share with us. Depending on how you reach out, this may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, website address, service interests, budget range, project timeline, and any details you include in a message.

Contact forms

Our contact form collects the details needed to respond to your message and route it to the right person. Submissions are delivered to our business email and stored in our systems so we can follow up.

Quote requests

Quote and consultation requests collect the same contact details plus information about your company, current website, services of interest, and goals. We use this to prepare an accurate proposal. Submitting a request creates no obligation on either side.

Partnership applications

Referral partner applications collect your name, business details, contact information, and a description of your audience or referral relationships. We use this solely to evaluate and administer the referral partner program.

Website analysis requests

When you request a growth assessment, we collect the website address and business name you submit and retrieve publicly available information about that website and its public business listing in order to generate your report.

Newsletter and updates

If you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address and use it only to send the communications you requested.

07Automatically Collected Information

When you browse ij.agency, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and screen size
  • Pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, and clicks
  • Referring website or campaign source
  • Approximate geographic region derived from IP address
  • Site performance and error diagnostics

This information helps us understand which pages are useful, find broken experiences, and improve site performance.

08Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate website traffic and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages perform through anonymized interaction and session diagnostics. Both are configured for measurement only.

We do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell analytics data. You can opt out of Google Analytics measurement across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

09Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember basic preferences, protect forms from abuse, and measure performance. Full details, including each category we use and how to control them, are in our Cookie Policy.

10Third-Party Services

We rely on established providers to operate the website and our business. Each processes only the information needed for its function:

  • Hosting and infrastructure — serving the website and storing form submissions
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity — traffic measurement, tag delivery, and performance diagnostics
  • AI assistant provider — processing the messages you type into the website assistant so it can respond
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — spam and abuse prevention on forms
  • Google Maps — the embedded map on our contact page
  • HubSpot — customer relationship management and follow-up
  • Stripe — payment processing; card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our systems
  • Email delivery providers — sending notifications, confirmations, and requested communications

These providers may set their own cookies or receive limited technical information under their own privacy policies. We do not authorize any of them to use your information for their own marketing.

11Data Storage

Information submitted through this website is stored on managed cloud infrastructure operated by reputable providers, with data primarily processed in the United States. Access is limited to personnel and service providers who need it to operate our business.

12Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and authentication on our systems, spam and abuse filtering on forms, and reputable infrastructure and payment providers.

No website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals as required by applicable law.

13Data Retention

We keep information only as long as it serves a legitimate business purpose:

  • Inquiries that do not become engagements — retained while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable follow-up period afterward
  • Client records — retained for the length of the engagement and afterward as needed for support, legal, accounting, and tax obligations
  • Marketing subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics data — retained according to the provider's standard retention settings

You may request deletion of your information at any time; see Your Privacy Rights.

14Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With service providers listed above, limited to what they need to perform their function
  • With your direction or consent, such as when you ask us to coordinate with your hosting provider or another vendor
  • When required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of others
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, subject to this policy

15Marketing Communications

We send marketing emails only to people who opted in or who have an existing business relationship with us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or emailing hello@ij.agency. We will still send transactional messages related to an active engagement, such as proposals, invoices, and project updates.

16Your Privacy Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you
  • Provide a copy of that information
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Delete information we no longer need to retain
  • Stop sending you marketing communications

A plain-language summary of these controls, including analytics opt-outs, is on our Your Privacy Choices page.

To make a request, email hello@ij.agency. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

17State Privacy Rights

Several U.S. states — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others — give residents specific rights over their personal information, such as the rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising.

We extend the practical rights described in the previous section to all visitors, so you do not need to prove residency to make a request. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not process sensitive personal information for those purposes. If you would like to appeal a decision we make about a request, reply to our response and we will review it.

18The Website Assistant

Our website includes an assistant that answers questions about our services. What you type is processed by a third-party model provider solely to generate a response, and — if you ask us to follow up — is passed to our team along with any contact details you provide.

Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the assistant. You can ask us to delete a conversation by contacting us.

19Children's Privacy

This website serves business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

20International Visitors

I&J Agency is based in the United States and serves clients in the United States. If you access the website from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the website or contacting us, you understand that this transfer occurs.

21Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our business, website, or the tools we use change. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective date" and "Last updated" fields at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
