What does a consultation include?

Twenty to forty minutes by phone or video with an owner. We look at your current site and Google Business Profile beforehand, so the call is spent on your situation rather than discovery basics. You'll leave with honest recommendations even if you never hire us. A consultation creates no contract, no payment obligation, and no enrollment in anything.

What if I'm not ready to start for a few months?

Tell us that on the call. Landscaping is seasonal, and a build that launches in February is worth far more than one that launches in June. We'd rather plan a start date around your off-season than push you into a project at the wrong time of year.

These are starting points, not final quotes — the exact figure depends on how many pages and services you need, and it is confirmed in writing before anything begins. Yes. Every website is built with lead capture — forms, calls-to-action, and tracking — as part of the build. Ongoing lead generation work (local SEO, Google Business Profile, content, and continuous optimization) runs through the monthly SEO Growth plan or Advanced Local SEO, which are optional add-ons with their own recurring cost. We don't guarantee a number of leads, and we'd be cautious of anyone who does.

IJ Launch (from $495) is a custom, mobile-first site with lead capture, SEO foundations, and analytics — the right fit for a business with one or two core services and a defined local area. IJ Growth (from $1,495) adds a deeper SEO foundation, conversion-focused design, advanced lead capture, and individual service pages — the right fit if you sell multiple services across multiple towns and need each one to rank on its own. For larger or multi-location businesses, IJ Bespoke (from $4,995+) is scoped individually.

What is the SEO Growth plan?

An optional monthly service (from $299/month) that can be added to any website package: local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, ongoing site improvements, strategic recommendations, and plain-English monthly reporting. Competitive or multi-location markets are typically scoped under Advanced Local SEO, from $895/month. A website is a foundation; the SEO plan is what compounds on top of it. It is never required in order to buy a website.

How long does a website project take?

IJ Launch is estimated at 2–6 weeks; IJ Growth at 6–12 weeks; IJ Bespoke is scoped per project. The variable is almost never us — it's how quickly photos, service details, and approvals come back during your busy season. Timelines are estimates and may vary with complexity, revisions, and the timely delivery of required materials.

How is a project invoiced?

Once scope, price, and timeline are agreed in writing, we issue an invoice. Work begins once payment and any required service agreement are complete. Website packages (IJ Launch, IJ Growth, IJ Bespoke) are one-time projects. The SEO Growth plan is billed monthly, from $299 — never as an annual lump sum, and never on an auto-escalating contract.

Can I cancel the SEO Growth plan?

Yes. It's billed monthly. The exact initial term, renewal, and notice period are written into the service agreement you review before committing, so there are no surprises later. If you cancel, the work already done stays on your site — you own it.

Who owns the website when it's done?

Accepted Answer

You do, completely. The domain, the hosting account, the code, the content, the analytics, and the Google Business Profile are all registered in your name and your business email. If we ever part ways, you keep everything and nothing needs to be transferred, unlocked, or bought back.

What isn't included?

Paid advertising management, print and vehicle graphics, professional photography or drone video, and third-party costs such as domain registration, premium stock imagery, or CRM subscriptions. We'll tell you which of these matter for your market and can recommend people, but we don't mark them up or bundle them into the price.

How much of my time will this take?

Realistically, three to five hours across the whole project: one kickoff call, a written questionnaire about services and service area, gathering photos, and two review rounds. Everything else is on us. We batch questions rather than sending a drip of small requests during your busiest weeks.

What if I don't have good photos of my work?

Most landscaping companies have more than they think — crew phones, before-and-after shots, and finished-job photos sent to customers. Real work from your own crews outperforms stock photography every time, even at lower image quality. If there's a genuine gap, we'll say so and suggest a local photographer rather than filling the site with generic imagery.

Do you write the content, or do I?

Not always. If the site is technically sound and simply under-optimized, the SEO Growth plan (from $299/month) may be the better investment. If it's slow, hard to edit, not built to convert, or you don't control the hosting, a rebuild usually pays for itself faster. Yes — it's a core part of the partnership, and for most landscaping companies it drives more calls than the website does. Full setup, correct primary and secondary categories, service and area configuration, photo cadence, posts, review strategy, and ongoing optimization for map-pack visibility.

Yes, and it isn't an upsell. Technical SEO audits, crawl and indexability work, redirect management, canonical optimization, robots.txt and XML sitemap management, structured data and schema markup, and Core Web Vitals are all part of the SEO work — with Search Console, index, and ranking monitoring continuing month to month. Who handles SSL, DNS, uptime, and keeping the site healthy?

SSL configuration, HTTPS best practices, DNS and domain setup and launch checks are part of every build. Continuing care after launch — security and health monitoring, uptime monitoring, routine updates, backups and small content changes — is the optional Website Care plan, from $49/month. Part of the build. Performance and speed optimization, Core Web Vitals, mobile optimization, image and asset optimization, and lazy loading are how the site gets made, not a later upgrade — and performance monitoring continues after launch.

What's in the core package and what costs extra?

Every website package includes the build itself: mobile-responsive design, SSL and secure configuration, hosting setup, indexing and analytics, contact and quote forms, launch checks and post-launch support. Growth services that continue month after month — SEO, advanced local SEO, Google Business Profile work, website care — are optional add-ons priced separately. You are never required to take one to buy a website.

SEO foundations are — sensible page structure, on-page optimization, indexing, schema and technical hygiene at build time. Ongoing SEO, the monthly work that compounds visibility over time, is a separate plan from $299/month. A website with good foundations will not out-rank a competitor who publishes and optimizes every month, and we'd rather say that plainly than imply the build alone does it.

Is Google Business Profile work included?

Basic profile links and click-to-call are part of the build. Full Google Business Profile optimization — categories, services, service areas, photos, descriptions, posting cadence and review strategy — is either a one-time engagement from $199 or an ongoing part of the SEO Growth plan. For most local service businesses the profile drives more calls than the website, so it's usually worth doing properly.

Can I add services later instead of everything at once?

Yes, and most clients do. Start with the website, live with it for a month or two, then add SEO, care or profile work when the timing and cash flow suit you. Add-ons can start or stop between months; nothing is bundled into a long-term commitment to get a lower headline price.

Additional service, location or landing pages can be added to any package from $75 per page at the same design standard, and professional copywriting is available from $149 per page if you'd rather not write them. Both are quoted before work starts.
